How To: Update Subscriptions Safely and Avoid the "Please Check the Interval" Error Message

When attempting to update a subscription, you may have attempted to first open the original subscription, update the values or other properties, then save the changes. This will not update the details for all existing subscriptions - only future ones. Noticing this, you may have attempted to STOP the old subscription and then re-assign the subscription with the updated information to your client. Doing so will generate an error. This happens because each subscription template has a unique identifier. If you attempt to stop a subscription that is set to run for a period of time, and then re-assign that same subscription (even if it has updated settings) within the same time period, the error is generated. This is in order to reduce potential for duplicate debits/credits on client accounts. The solution to this is to either rename the subscription or delete it. After that, you will need to create a new subscription and configure it with the new settings, then assign that subscription to your clients. We realize this can be frustrating, especially if updating for all clients, so we are working on a solution to implement a solution that will automatically make this change for you.

In the meantime, please follow this guide for clear instructions on how to avoid this error and update your subscriptions without issue.
